ROLES AND ENDEAVOURS

Established CURIN (Chitkara University Research and Innovation Network) to bring all research and innovation related practices under one umbrella. Designed innovation management system as a best practice, sensitizing all students and faculty to bring in innovation in mainstream. CURIN facilitated filing of 250 patents over a period of 60 months, with over 5000 ideas vetted and over 500 innovators getting benefitted. Conceptualized and established the whole ecosystem of ideate – innovate – incubate – commercialize.

Worked on funded projects worth INR 8 Cr in past 8 years, including projects funded by Hewlett Packard and Swiss National Foundation, DST. She was invited to ETH, Zurich, Switzerland and EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland to conduct workshops and deliver lectures to PhD scholars.

Guided various Principal Investigators to write research proposals which resulted in securing 3 research projects – CLIL, OCULUS and PREVENT IT worth Euros 800,000 from ERASMUS+

Established Tech commercialization wing of the University, where at least 10 technologies have been commercialized and an equal number in advance stages of getting commercialized. Was awarded phase 0 of TEC by DST.

Initiated the Makers’ movement by establishing one of its kind makers labs in the university campus with 5000 sq ft space, dedicated team and various state-of-art equipment.

Curriculum Development and Active Learning models: Have worked extensively in curriculum development at University level – specifically for making engineering curriculum project based. Also worked on evolving blended learning models to support modern pedagogical practices.

Digitization of Education and Technology enhancement: Prepared conceptual framework of the ERP system, which now serves as the backbone of the university. Currently enabling and rearing technologies and repositories for online, blended and flipped classrooms. Working simultaneously on evolving adaptive assessments to support newer pedagogical practices.

Professional Educators’ training and capacity building: Prepared ecosystem of training the faculty in creation of instructional design, content and implementing capacity building measures to support technology mediated pedagogical innovations. Conducted numerous workshops at national and international platforms for educators’ training, specifically in project and problem based learning.

Quality Enhancement for Accreditation: Designed Standard Operating procedures and established quality circle to make processes outcome based and accreditation oriented. Conducted workshops on Outcome Based education and Educational Leadership leading to quality improvement and teaching learning processes.

Internationalization of Education: Travelled extensively to International platforms in Canada, USA, Switzerland, Singapore, Australia,Taiwan, Germany, France and Austria to explore the opportunities for international collaborations for students and faculty.
