E-Skin

Electronic skin or E-Skin is nothing but a simple electronic device designed and implemented with the very moto to mimic the behavior and functionality of human skin and to be very specific one that can sense and detect pressure, temperature, humidity, and airflow changes and has self-healing capabilities and all this is placed on a single thin translucent sheet .
The sheet is different as this new innovation has the lead scientist to incorporate a dynamic novel polymer named as Polyimine laced with the silver nanoparticles that enable electronic conductivity, mechanical strength, and chemical stability.
The same Polyimine polymer has lead to the E-skin to not only be self-healing but recyclable as well.

The world is now surely a better place to live in with the new inventions happening that are user-friendly as well.
This particular device ... won’t produce any waste,” says study co-author Jianliang Xiao.
Even this E-Skin if damaged can now be easily recycled using a simple recycling solution at room temperature which dissolves the matrix into small molecules followed by the nanoparticles sinking at the bottom of the container being used.
Apart from the product being environment-friendly, with it has a lot of associated applications ranging from robotics to medical science
